Case Axe Handle is 4 inches long (folded/closed) and weighs approximately 2.9 ounces. The handle is Gator Jig Persimmon Orange Bone with a Nickel Silver CASE Bowtie Inlay shield. The bolsters are Highly polished Nickel Silver. This knife utilizes a 3 3/8" with a plain edge, flat taper grind, and a nail nick. Stamped with pattern number BR61135 CS, the blade material is 1095 Carbon Steel with a mirror-polished finish. Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly.
